The Program
PICKUP TIME
- Picked up from your hotel at 4:00 AM in a private, air-conditioned vehicle, you will be taken to the airport to board your plane to Luxor for a day of ancient architecture and archaeology.
- Flight from Sharm to Luxor at 6:00 am. 45-minute flight and meet our guide at 7:00 am at Luxor airport.
KARNAK TEMPLE COMPLEX
- Your first sight will be the Karnak Temple complex, on the east side of Luxor, Egypt. The Karnak Temple complex is one of the main sites in Egypt, and within its boundaries, you can still feel the sacred energies of ancient Egypt. We will also see the Luxor Temple, known as the Temple of the Gods.
The Valley of the King
- We will visit the Valley of the Kings—the ancient cemetery of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom, hidden in the mountains between the two limestone hills of Goren. The Valley of the Kings contains 63 recorded tombs, and 3 more tombs have been found recently.
THE OBELISKS OF QUEEN HATSHEPSUT
- This is a mortuary temple with a unique design, as it is the only temple in Egypt built in a terrace formation in the cliff wall.
- Hatshepsut was a famous female pharaoh who wore a fake beard and all the ornaments of male pharaohs to claim the throne for her.
MEMMON COLOSSI
- Finally, visit the Memmon Colossi, which are two of the largest ancient statues in Egypt, dating back to the time of King Amenhotep III.
Back to Sharm El Sheikh
- At the end of the day, at 7:00 PM, you will return to Sharm El Sheikh, and your private driver will take you back to your hotel.
